1. History

Sometime in mid 1997, encouraged by the popularity of Italian cuisine in the Philippines, Italian entrepreneur and food connoisseur, Antonio Reina, developed a concept to open a series of cozy and intimate, yet fun and trendy Italian restaurants on the islands. Carrying an interior theme ranging from Italian Dailies to hip furnishings and lighting as well as some seasoning from Pablo and Salvador, the first Bravo! welcomed guests in late 1998 at Festival Mall, Alabang, with Chef Tiziano Cavallini recreating age-old Italian culinary compositions to the delight of residents in and around Muntinlupa.

Buoyed by the success of the initial branch, Bravo! opened its second branch in November, 1999 at Adriatico corner Nakpil, right in the center of the bustling nightlife of Malate. The popularity of these two locations, which cater to totally different crowds, proves that good indeed, knows no boundaries. After all, authenticity, under the watchful eyes of Ludwig, is Tiziano’s first commandment.

2. Concept and Identity

We would like to be known as a casual dining establishment with excellent food and service at very reasonable prices. Our cooking is very simple but based on the premise that ingredients should be top quality. Italian cooking is known for its simplicity and its focus on quality ingredients. The two most important ingredients are whole peeled tomatoes and olive oil and we make sure to use only Italian whole peeled tomatoes and olive oil, without any substitution allowed. Therefore we import our own ingredients straight from Italy, including our wine.

We make no concessions to the Filipino palate, believing that the authentic Italian taste will be most welcomed by the market. We pride ourselves to be an authentic Italian restaurant, with an Italian master chef.

We also pride ourselves on our service. We see to it that the staff is well informed on menu items, well trained in the standards of serving, customer oriented and enthusiastic.

3. For those who wish to enjoy authentic Italian flavor at home or anywhere- bottled sauces, dips, spreads, salad dressings and bread items – all carrying the quality flavor of Bravo!, are available in our kiosks in Rustan’s Supermarkets in Katipunan, Shangrila and Makati, Shopwise and South Supermarket in Alabang. These are also available only in leading supermarkets and groceries in Metro Manila.

4. The Merry Cooks, Inc.

To maintain a uniform standard in all outlets, we have a central kitchen, the Merry Cooks, which is also our management firm. It is located in 282-286 Suarez & Sons Bldg., E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave., Quezon City.
